Matthias Helfrich
Matthias Helfrich absolvierte zunächst eine Banklehre und studierte anschließend Betriebswirtschaft in München und Gießen. Nach Stationen bei der Linde AG und in der M&A-Beratung wechselte er in die Energiewirtschaft, wo er einen Corporate-Venture-Capital-Fonds aufbaute. Später war er als Late Co-Founder und Finanzvorstand der Power Plus Communications AG tätig.
Heute investiert er über seine eigene Beteiligungsgesellschaft vor allem in B2B-Software-, Greentech- und Lifestyle-Start-ups und ist Venture Partner des Berlin Angel Fund. 2021 wurde er als „Business Angel des Jahres“ ausgezeichnet.
Er ist Gründer und Vorstandsvorsitzender des InvestorenNetzwerks Wiesbaden, Vorstand im BACB sowie seit 2025 bei BAND. Zudem engagiert er sich beim VC Wiesbaden. 2025 erschien das von ihm mitverfasste Buch „Erfolg durch Kooperationen mit Start-ups“.
Matthias Helfrich lebt in Berlin, Wiesbaden und Nordfriesland und hat einen erwachsenen Sohn.
